European Parliament election, 2009 (Slovakia)

The European elections in Slovakia in 2009 was held on 6 June 2009, to be awarded with 13 of 736 seats in the European Parliament. She was the second European elections in Slovakia. Polling stations were open 7-22 clock.

Parties, candidates and results

The turnout was 19.64 % ( 853 533 of 4,345,773 eligible voters ). The ruling party Smer won five seats for the Socialist Party; the opposition parties SDKU -DS, SMK and KDH reached two mandates for the European People's Party.
