European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures

The European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures ( engl. European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures ), ESFRI, is a multidisciplinary forum for the member states of the European Union and Associated States in the field of research infrastructures. The forum is for discussion and coordination of projects and general developments in the field of research infrastructure, such as on the topics of supercomputers, specific Internet Architecture ( GRID), databases, virtual libraries or general large-scale research infrastructures.

ESFRI is a measure of the European Commission, alongside others such as European research organizations (European Research Infrastructure Consortia - ERIC), large-scale research infrastructures such as CERN, The European Mouse Mutant Archive or GÉANT.
