European Taekwondo Union

The European Taekwondo Union ( ETU ) is the continental federation for Olympic Taekwondo in Europe. It was founded on May 2, 1976. Founding members were organized in the WTF Taekwondo national sports federations of Spain, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Denmark and England.

The first European Championship was held on 22 and 23 May 1976 in Barcelona.

The scope of ETU includes the entire Taekwondo sports operation in Europe. She is responsible for implementing the requirements of the WTF in a wide range and also supports scientific projects.
