Europos Parkas

The Europos Parkas is a museum and a sculpture park of international and contemporary sculpture, conceptual and installation art and land art in Joneikiškės at Vilnius in Lithuania.

The 50 -acre sculpture park was founded by Lithuanian sculptor Gintaras Karosas 1991. Especially through the work of the American installation artist Dennis Oppenheim received the sculpture park international notoriety. Continuously since 1999, takes place every year a sculpture symposium and other cultural events ( such as poetry, spring, artist meetings and conferences). In 2008, the activities of the museum was recognized as an important cultural project for the State ( by decision of the Government of Lithuania ).
