Eurosurveillance

Euro Surveillance is a scientific journal published by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). The magazine was founded in 1995 and until March 2007 jointly by the European Commission, the Institut de veille sanitaire (Paris) and the Health Protection Agency ( London) financed. Since March 2007, it is published by the ECDC in Stockholm. Currently, the magazine is published weekly. There are published works about the epidemiology, surveillance and prevention of infectious diseases. All articles are freely available online.

The Impact Factor was in 2012 at 5,491. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge, the Journal is out with this impact factor in the category of infectious diseases in sixth place out of 69 journals.

Chief editor is Ines Steffens (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Disease Control, Stockholm, Sweden).
