Citroën C8 ( 2002-2008 )

The Citroen C8 is the second van from Citroen, which was developed in collaboration with Fiat, PSA Peugeot Citroën of SEVEL in France. As the first generation of Eurovans, which was offered as Citroën Evasion, initially, the second generation with identical models of Peugeot, Fiat and Lancia was marketed.

History

The second generation of Eurovans went into production in July 2002. One of the important changes was the extension by 27 centimeters compared to the first version. It received the highest rating of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test.

The Eurovan has been technically revised in June 2006 and now also met the Euro 4 emission standard

In February 2008, all four models of an optical revision has been undertaken. The C8 was enlarged logo and chrome trim on the radiator grille, bumpers and side protective strips. Moreover, the door handles are now chrome. Another feature of the C8 subject are the clear-lens taillights. All four models in common are the slightly revised interiors, now new upholstery and decorative elements are available for the compilation to choose from. Parallel to the higher chromium use on exterior found themselves now and in the interior new chrome trim. On the technical side, a 2.2 - liter twin-turbo diesel with an output of 170 hp has been introduced.

In the fall of 2010, this engine was removed from the program. Was succeeded by a 2.0 -liter diesel engine with 163 hp.

In summer 2012, the C8 was a subtle facelift. Characteristic features are the new rounded brand logo and the new headlamps, which have dark deposits.
