The 28 Euro Vision Song Contest took place on 23 April 1983 in Rudi - Sedlmayer Hall in Munich, Germany since had won in the previous year to EUR 27 Eurovision Song Contest and won for the first time ever.

Special

This year, Germany took the title of consideration, sung by the duo Hoffmann & Hoffmann, fifth place. The song had Michael Reinecke and Volker Lechtenbrink written. Austria and West 's Hurricane were Ninth, Io così non ci sto, the Swiss Post by Mariella Farré, was number fifteen.

After France, Italy and Greece had not participated in the previous year at 27 Euro Vision Song Contest, they were there again this year. Malta, however, only began again in 1991 in part. For the first time since its first participation, however, lacked Ireland. Winner was Si la vie est cadeau by Corinne Hermès from Luxembourg with 6 points ahead of runner-up Ofra Haza, who started an international career in port. Two countries were this time without points for their contributions back home, namely Turkey and Spain.
