The 56th Euro Vision Song Contest took place from 10th to 14th May 2011 in the ESPRIT arena (for the period of the event: Dusseldorf Arena) in Dusseldorf. According to the rules of the European Broadcasting Union ( EBU) a maximum of 45 countries to be represented at a song contest. At the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011 was attended by 43 countries, as many as before only in 2008.

Tuning mode

The 36 -year-old Icelandic singer Sigurjón " Sjonni " Brink wanted to present a self- composed piece at the national preliminary decision on February 12, 2011, but died on January 17, 2011 in his hometown Gardabær. Technology
