Eurycrates

Eurykrates (Greek Εὐρυκράτης ), the son of Polydorus, in Greek mythology, a king of Sparta from the House of Agiaden. He reigned over Laconia and Messenia conquered by his father.

Nothing has been handed down over the length of his reign, only that at the beginning of the Second Messenian War already reigned his son Anaxandros. According to Pausanias, this war thus began in the fourth year of the 23rd Olympiad 685/4 BC
