Euryleonis

Euryleonis from Sparta was an Olympic gold medalist at the Olympic Games.

Our only source to it's Pausanias, who reported that her statue in Sparta was built in honor. According to Pausanias, they won the race with the Biga ( Synoris ). In most cases, it is assumed that this was at the 103 Olympic Games 368 BC, but this date is not secured.

Euryleonis was only the second female winner in Olympia, in the years 396 BC and 392 BC it was possible the Spartan princess Kyniska to win the Tethrippon.
