Eva Brunne

Eva Brunne ( born March 7, 1954 in Malmö) is the Bishop of the Diocese of Stockholm in the Swedish church. She was ordained as a bishop in Uppsala on 8 November 2009.

Life

After her schooling Brunne studied Protestant theology. She then worked for 16 years working as a pastor in a church in Stockholm.

It is the successor of Bishop Caroline Krook, who went end of October 2009 to retire. Brunne lives with the Lutheran pastor Gunilla Lindén in a registered partnership. Lindén brought a son into the relationship.
