Life

Eva Le Gallienne was the daughter of the English poet Richard Le Gallienne and his Danish wife, the journalist Julie Norregaard. Her parents divorced in 1903 when her father was a well known womanizer and drinker. After the divorce, she moved with her mother to Paris. After her acting training, she went to America in 1920 and celebrated their first major success on Broadway.
