Evander Kane

Evander Kane ( born August 2, 1991, Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2011 the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Evander Kane began his career in the Western Hockey League, one of the three world-class junior leagues in Canada, at the Vancouver Giants. With this he won the 2007 Memorial Cup, where he was employed in two tournament games. In the following two years he played for the Giants in the WHL and was able to increase its yield point enormously - in the 2008 /09 season he scored in 61 games of the preliminary round 96 points scorer, another 15 in the playoffs. Due to the benefits shown, the Atlanta Thrashers selected him during the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the first round at a total fourth location.

In July 2009, he got his first professional contract with the Thrashers and managed in the NHL squad of franchises. Kane debuted on October 3, 2009 in the NHL, and scored his first Assist Five days later his first NHL goal.

Internationally

Evander Kane took with the Canadian national team in 2008 at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, where he reached four points scorer in four games with the U18 team won the gold medal. In the same year he was part of the extended squad for the U20 national team, but was not initially intended for the U20 World Youth Championship 2009. Due to a violation of Dana Tyrell Kane was re-nominated and helped his team with six points in six tournament games for the fifth U20 World Champion title in a row. With the Canadian seniors selection Kane took part in the World Championships in 2010 and 2011.
