Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo
Evangelion 3.33 - You can ( not) redo (Japaneseヱヴァンゲリヲン 新 劇場 版: Q Evangerion Shin Gekijōban: Kyū, dt " Evangelion New Theatrical Version: acceleration" ) is the third film of the series Rebuild of Evangelion the anime television series Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Action
Fourteen years have passed since the Third Impact, but mankind is still attacked by the angels. Shinji Ikari is recovered from Evangelion Unit-01 and realizes that things have changed, but not for the better: The world has been ravaged and its former allies of NERV have set him and Rei Ayanami hostile.
Shinji tries to adjust to the new environment, he meets the mysterious Kaworu Nagisa. Both embark on the search for Rei and thereby encounter terrible truths behind the Angels, NERV and the Evangelion. While Shinji struggles with himself and always wants to know what the "true Rei" happened and why he had saved her, and then again not saved, he learns the truth about his mother Yui Ikari and Rei Ayanami. Shinji climbs with his EVA unit on the back of Lilith and attracts both spears out, despite Kaworus warnings that this is wrong. On April 24, 2013, the film was released in a revised version as Evangelion 3.33 - You can ( not) redo. on Blu -ray and DVD; the German publication at Universum Anime was made on 13 December 2013.
Music
The theme music " Sakura Nagashi " (Japanese桜 流し, literally " Thither Driving Cherry Blossoms" ) was sung by Hikaru Utada as well as in the two previous films. An album of the soundtrack was released on 28 November 2012.
Synchronization
The German language version of the film was created by the Berliner Synchron Studio German sync.
Reception
The film was released in Japan on November 17, 2012, and played in its first weekend of 1.1 billion yen ( € 11 million), which he was in spite of performance in only 224 cinemas in the second most successful theatrical release in 2012 in Japan, after One Piece Movie Z. After just nine days over 2 million cinema tickets were sold and the box office earnings rose to over 2.84 billion yen ( € 26.7 million ). The predecessor of Evangelion: 2.0 - You can ( not) advance. played in the same time, about half of that amount.
By the time he was taken off the air on April 17, 2013, he played a total of 5.26 billion yen ( € 41 million).
