Evans Rutto
Evans Rutto ( born April 8, 1978 in Marakwet ) is a Kenyan long- distance runner who specializes in the marathon.
He was fifth in the 1999 World Cross Country Championships.
In 2003, he won the Chicago Marathon in 2:05:50, and thus the best time that had ever run a marathon novice. The following year he won the London Marathon and a second time in Chicago, again with times under 2:07. He was tenth in London and fourth in Chicago, 2006 Tenth in London in 2005.
Evans Rutto is married and has three children. He is coached since 2003 by Dieter Hogen.
