Evaristo Lucidi

Evaristo Cardinal Lucidi ( born October 4, 1866 in Monte Franco, Terni, Italy, † March 31, 1929 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Evaristo Lucidi studied in Rome trays Catholic theology and philosophy. After his ordination, he took on various duties in the diocese of Rome. He directed more than twenty years as director, the Institute " San Girolamo degli Schiavoni ". From 1904 he worked as secretary of the Commission for the revision of the Provincial Councils. In 1908 he was Pro- Secretary of the Finance Department of the Congregation de Propaganda Fide. 1916 Pope Benedict XV appointed him. secretary of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura. Pope Pius XI. took him in 1923 as a cardinal deacon with the title Diakonia Sant'Adriano al Foro in the College of Cardinals to. Evaristo Lucidi died on March 31, 1929 in Rome and was initially buried in the local cemetery " Campo Verano ".

In June 1929 his remains were transferred to his birthplace and buried in the local parish church.
