Evaristus Thatho Bitsoane

Evaristus Thatho Bitsoane ( born September 17, 1938 in Rojane, Lesotho, † 17 July, 2010 Qacha 's Nek, Lesotho ) was a Roman Catholic Bishop of Qacha 's Nek in Lesotho.

Life

Evaristus Thatho Bitsoane received on 19 December 1964, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him in 1981 to the bishop of Qacha 's Nek. He received his episcopal consecration on 11 October 1981, the Archbishop of Maseru, Alfonso Liguori Morapeli OMI; Co-consecrators were George Francis Daniel, Archbishop of Pretoria, and Paul Khoarai, Bishop of Leribe.

He was from 1991 to 1997 and since 2002 President of the Episcopal Conference of Lesotho (Lesotho Catholic Bishops ' Conference, in short LCBC ).
