Evelin Samuel

Evelin Samuel ( born May 13, 1975 in Tallinn) is an Estonian jazz and musical singer.

Singer

Evelin Samuel is one of the most famous singers of Estonia. She began her music career in 1992 with Irish folk music, acoustic guitar and violin. Evelin Samuel won the 1993 Baltic singing contest Via Baltica and 1994 the Estonian competition Uus Viis. For five years she was a member of the band Easy Living. In 2002 she gave her only album so far, Over the Water Blue, out.

Evelin Samuel is also known as a musical star. Your greatest achievements came with Jesus Christ Superstar (1992 ), Oliver! (2003) and Miss Saigon (2004 /2005).

Euro Vision Song Contest

Evelin Samuel represented Estonia in the Euro 1999 Song Contest in Jerusalem. She went there with the young violinist Camille (real name: Imbi -Camille Rätsep ) on. With the song Diamond of Night they reached 90 points, finishing in sixth place. It was the first Estonian euro vision contribution, which was not sung in Estonian.

Private life

Evelin Samuel lives with the business journalists Raimo Ülavere. Together the couple has a son. (* 2006).
