Evelyn Pinching

Evelyn Amy Pinching ( born March 18, 1915 in Norwich, † December 24, 1988 in Westminster, London) was a British alpine skier.

As a member of the company founded by Arnold Lunn "Ladies ' Ski Club" Murren in the Swiss Pinching celebrated its first successes in the Arlberg - Kandahar race. In 1934, she was in St. Anton second in slalom and 1935 in Murren also second in the slalom and combination. At the same place they occupied in 1935 two fourth and a fifth place at the World Championship.

At the World Championships in 1936 in Innsbruck, it was then two-time world champion in the downhill and the combined. In the slalom, she won over the Austrian runner Gerda paumgarten the silver medal.

The trophy of the British Ski Association for the Champion in slalom is named after her Evie Pinching Salver.
