Evelyn Thomas

Evelyn Thomas ( born August 22, 1953 in Chicago as Ellen Lucille Thomas ) is an American singer.

In 1975, she was discovered by the British music producer Ian Levine in Chicago. In 1976 she had her first chart hit in England with Weak Spot. In 1978 she brought the label Casablanca Records released their first album "I Wanna Make It On My Own ". Her biggest hit they had in 1984 with the song " High Energy". While the song reached number one in Germany and number five in England, she had only moderate success in her native America. In the U.S. Billboard charts, it was ranked 85th The following singles were not as successful, however, were able to place in some dance charts.
