Everett McGill

Charles Everett McGill III ( born October 21, 1945 in Miami Beach, Florida ) is an American actor.

Life

Everett McGill was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. After that he played in several award-winning pieces on Broadway in New York.

After a role in the soap opera Guiding Light (1975 ), he was a larger audiences through his portrayal of cavemen Noah in the French- Canadian-American film In the beginning it was known the fire by Jean -Jacques Annaud. Also in memory remained his roles as a corrupt FBI agent Killifer in the James Bond film Licence to Kill, or as an opponent of Steven Seagal in Under Siege 2

Repeatedly, he worked with David Lynch, of him in Dune, Twin Peaks and A True Story - Busy The Straight Story.

His surname equality with actor Bruce McGill was him in the course of casting preparations for the series Babylon 5 undoing. Inventor and producer J. Michael Straczynski wanted to cast him for the role of Major Ryan in the episode Severed Dreams. Straczynski knew of Everett McGill only the last name, as if to invite him to an audition. So he said yes against my better judgment, demand his assistant whether he wanted Bruce McGill. The confusion fell on him only when he stood before him. Straczynski but decided despite this fault for Bruce McGill.

Awards

For his role in the series Twin Peaks McGill was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Supporting Actor in a prime-time series.
