Everett Sloane

Everett Sloane ( born October 1, 1909 in New York City, USA, † August 6, 1965 in Los Angeles, USA) was an American actor, who also appeared in the theater as in film and television.

Life

Sloane initially attended high school. Until 1929 he worked as a stockbroker on Wall Street. After the stock market crash and the subsequent Great Depression he played from 1935 on Broadway. His first film role came in 1941 in Citizen Kane as "Mr. Bernstein ", which has been his most famous role.

In addition to his work in film, he was also a screenwriter, director and actor working in television. In 1965 he committed suicide because he believed that she was blind because of glaucoma. He was buried in Los Angeles.
