Evergreen Marine

The Evergreen Marine Corp.. (Taiwan) Ltd.. ( EMC ) (Chinese长荣 海运, Pinyin Cháng Rong Hǎi Yǜn ) is one of the five largest container shipping lines in the world with headquarters in Taipei in Republic of China on Taiwan.

The shipping company founded by Yung- Fa Chang in 1968 has a fleet of more than 150 container ships. For Evergreen Marine include more lines such as the Marine Corp Uniglory. (also from Taiwan), Evergreen Marine UK Ltd.. ( ehm. Hatsu Marine ) (United Kingdom ) and in 1998 acquired Lloyd Trientino (1836 founded as the Austrian Lloyd, 2006 in Italia Marittima renamed). In addition, Evergreen owns shares in the airline Eva Air and at the Evergreen Laurel Hotel chain.

Belonging to the fleet of Evergreen Marine vessels are characterized by a preceding " Ever " in the name, such as " Ever Level " or " Ever Charming". The company also includes numerous containers that are easy to recognize with its eye-catching grass green color and the white lettering " EVERGREEN ". In the refrigerated containers, the colors are reversed, that is, green lettering on a white background.

The Evergreen Marine operated with their ships many lines, especially in East Asia, Europe and the American West Coast. Here, more than 240 ports in more than 80 countries are run regularly. In Germany, Evergreen Marine has offices in Hamburg, Bremen, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt am Main.
