Everhardt Franßen

Ever Hardt Franßen ( born October 1, 1937 in Essen) was a judge and president of the Federal Administrative Court and judges of the Federal Constitutional Court.

Franßen (Ruhr) was born the son of a scientist in Essen and studied after high school law in Mainz and Münster. Here he was an active member of each Catholic student associations of the KV, in Mainz at the Normannia - Greifswald and Münster in Westfalia - Mazenod. After his second state examination Franßen was appointed judge at the Administrative Court in Münster and received his PhD at the same time. Subsequently, he was a research assistant from 1971 the SPD in Bonn, only to be urban legal advice of his home city of Essen. From there, he was elected with only 40 years a judge of the Federal Administrative Court in Berlin. 1987 Franßen was elected on the proposal of the SPD as a judge in the second Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court for the retiring President Wolfgang Zeidler.

30 June 1991 Franßen was president of the Federal Administrative Court and the Constitutional Court, therefore, different again. His successor there was the judge Bertold summer. As President of the Federal Administrative Court Franßen entered September 30, 2002 on reaching the age limit to retire. He was succeeded by Eckart Hien.

Franßen is married and has two children.
