Everyone Stares

Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out is a rockumentary by Stewart Copeland about the origins and development of British rock band The Police. Copeland, the drummer of "The Police", a Super 8 camera bought in 1978 and then pursued on to the temporary separation in 1984 the development of the trio. Thus, the history of the band is told directly from the perspective of one of the band members.

The film was first presented at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006 and appeared in September 2006 on DVD.

Action

The first part of the film shows a series of images of photos, Copeland recorded with The Police, before he bought a Super -8 camera. This period includes the era with Henry Padovani, and started by Andy Summers the band. The film then follows the band to achieve initial success in the United States in the effort. They accompanied Copland's childhood friend Kim Turnerals as their tour manager.

The band then returned to Europe to play there on different festivals. Here they are first caught up by their own success, as they are surrounded by a mob of fans after a concert in Birmingham quasi. This is followed by a series of number one singles on both sides of the Atlantic, leading to the world's great fame of the band. As a result, the cooperation of the individual band members deteriorated. At the end of The Police shall enter on the U.S. Festival in 1982 to headlining to then dissolve the band.
