Evgenia Antipova

Evgenia Petrovna Antipowa (Russian Евгения Петровна Антипова, English transcription: Evgenia Petrovna Antipova; * October 19, 1917 in Toropetz; † January 27, 2009 in Saint Petersburg ) was a Soviet- Russian painter and art teacher.

Biography

Yevgeniya Antipowa was born in 1917 in Toropetz in the Pskov oblast, pulled, however, already at the age of eleven with her parents to Samara. There she came in contact for the first time with the art. In 1935 she moved to Leningrad to study there from 1936 to 1939 at the Srednjaja Chudoschestwennaja Schkola (Russian Ленинградская Средняя художественная школа ), an art school for gifted children and youth. This was integrated into the Russian Imperial Academy of Arts, her art studies began in 1939 at the Jewgenija Antipowa. There she met, among others, by Gleb Savinov and Semyon Abugow. In the same year she took part in an exhibition for young artists in Moscow with some of her early works.

The Second World War spent Jewgenija Antipowa during the Siege of Leningrad in their study city until it was evacuated in 1942 to Novosibirsk, where she continued her work until the war ended and only after returning to Leningrad. In 1950, she completed her studies with the painting ' A. Zhdanov visited the Pioneer Palace in Leningrad " from. She then taught until 1956, painting and composition at the Tawritscheskoje chudoschestwenno - pedagogitscheskoje utschilischtsche (Russian Таврическое художественно - педагогическое училище ), another art school in Leningrad. While Jewgenija Antipowa in their youth and university increasingly devoted himself to landscape painting and still life, she worked from 1960 increasingly with portraits. 1967, 1988, 1999 and 2007 were to see her in Leningrad and Saint Petersburg solo exhibitions. Today her works are partly privately owned as well as in the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg.

Yevgeniya Antipowa was married to Victor Teterin (1922-1991), who was also a painter.
