Evgeny Chigishev

Yevgeny Alexandrovich Tschigischew (in Russian Евгений Александрович Чигишев, scientific transliteration Evgenij Aleksandrovich Čigišev; born May 28, 1979 in Novokuznetsk ) is a Russian weightlifter.

Sporting career

With 10 years Tschigischew started weight lifting. His first international success was the Win several medals, until he took up at Junior World and European Championships in 2000 in the category up to 105 kg at the Olympic Games and with 415 kg finished 5th in a duel in a strong field. 2012, Yevgeny Tschigischew tried again to qualify for participation in the Olympic Games. He came to the Russian championship with 437 kg ( 202-235 ) in a duel behind Ruslan Albegow, 460 kg ( 210-250 ) and Chingiz Moguschkow, 438 kg ( 201-237 ) to 3rd place and so missed his target.
