Evgeny Kuznetsov (diver)

Yevgeny Vladimirovich Kuznetsov (Russian: Евгений Владимирович Кузнецов, born April 12, 1990 in Stavropol ) is a Russian diver. He takes the art of jumping from 1 m and 3 m- board and at 3 m synchronized diving.

At the European Championships 2010 in Budapest Kuznetsov won his first international medal with bronze from 3 m board. Even more successful was the following European Championship 2011 in Turin, where he won a gold medal from the 1 m- board and together with Ilya Zakharov in 3 m synchronized diving and bronze from the 3 m board.

Kuznetsov took in 2009 in Rome for the first time at the World Cup finals, but could not qualify for a finale. This, however, he succeeded in 2011 in Shanghai. From the 1 -meter board, he finished in the final seventh and the 3 -meter board he won bronze. Kuznetsov and his compatriot Sakharov, who won silver, were the first jumpers who could leave at this World Cup a Chinese behind. In the 3 -meter synchronized diving, he also won the silver medal with Sakharov.
