Evgeny Postny

Evgeny Postny (born 3 July 1981) is an Israeli chess master.

Postny conquered or occupied top positions in several tournaments: 2nd place in the U18 European Youth Championships in Patras (1999 ), 3rd place in the U18 World Youth Championship in Oropesa del Mar (1999 ), 3rd place in the U20 European Junior Championships in Patras (2001 ), 1 -2. Place at Elekes Memorial in Budapest ( 2002), 1st place in the FS06 First Saturday GM Tournament in Budapest (2002 ), 1st place at the GM tournament Balatonlelle (2003), 1st place in the FS07 First Saturday GM Tournament in Budapest (2003 ), 3rd place at the Skanska Cup in Olomouc ( 2004), 1st - 3rd Place at the ZMD Open in Dresden (2006 ), 1 -2. Place at the tournament in Ma'alot (2008), 2nd - 4th Place in the Aegean Open in Agios Kirykos (2008) and 1st - 3rd Place at the Open in Paleochora (2008). For the Israeli national team, he played in the Chess Olympiad 2008.

In 2000 he became an International Master, since 2002 it bears the grandmaster title. In the season 2010/11 the German Chess League, he plays for the club Epping, his first season in the German Bundesliga chess was the season 2005/06. After two seasons for Epping, he played 2007/ 08 and Chess League 2008/ 09 for the sports fans Katernberg before he returned back to Epping. In his first season in Katernberg he had 7.5 points over 10 games and an Elo performance of 2743, the fifth-best result of all Bundesliga players. In France, he plays for the club Metz d' Echecs fishermen.
