Evhen Khytrov

Yevhen Chytrow (Ukrainian: Євген Хитров; born August 18, 1988 in Krivoy Rog ) is a Ukrainian boxer. He was world champion in 2011 and bronze medalist at the European Championships 2013.

Career

In 2009, Khytrov first time at the Ukrainian championships and won the bronze medal in the welterweight ( 69kg ). In the same year he also took part in the first European Championship in Elista students, but already retired in the first fight against a Russian fighter out. In the Ukrainian Championships the following year Khytrov started at middleweight and reached the final, however, which he lost to the bronze medalist of the 2007 Olympic participant Sergey Derevyanchenko.

2011 Khytrov could first win the Ukrainian Championship, where he in the final third of the EM- 2011 Dmitro Mitrofanov beat ( 12:6 ). Following this success he was able to attend the World Championships the same year. He suggested doing Nursahat Paziyev, Turkmenistan (RSC 3 ), Vladimir Milevskij, Lithuania ( 21:13 ), in the second round over Zoltán Harcsa, Hungary (RSC 1 ), in the quarterfinals on Aleksandar Drenovak, in the semifinals on Jura Toni Bogdan, Romania ( RSC 2 ), and in the final over Ryota Murata and thus won the gold medal.

With this success, he also qualified for the 2012 Olympics, but he already lost his first fight after a controversial ruling against the local hero Anthony Ogogo ( 18:18 ).

2013 occupied Chytrow at the European Championships in third place behind Jason Quigley, Ireland, and Bogdan Jura Toni, Romania.
