Evian

Evian is a mineral water from the French Alps located in the place Evian- les -Bains. Since 1826 Evian is officially bottled and was in the year 2003 available world wide in 120 countries. The water is preferred, now also widely consumed in America in Europe and Japan. Evian is a brand of Danone Eaux Group. Evian is distributed in Germany by the Frankfurt-based company Danone Waters Germany, a subsidiary of the Danone Group.

The water comes from the Cachat source that is very close to Lake Geneva. It has only a low content of minerals. There are different types of bottles with a capacity of 0.33 up to 1.5 liters. The 0.5 -liter Tetra Pak border was discontinued at the end of 2006. In restaurants and bars, the water is often served with wine. The catering range is common industry practice only available in glass bottles.

Issey Miyake designed a version of the 2010 Evian water bottle.

In an advertising campaign Evian advertises with the fact that the mineral water would be used even without boil for infants. In studies, however, it was found that there are germs in the water and it could therefore pose a risk to infants and people with weak immune system.
