Ewighausen

Ewighausen ( dialect: Iwichhouse ) is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of seltzer (Westerwald ).

Geographical location

Ewighausen located 5 km east of seltzer in the Westerwald on the road L 303 between the Westerwald Lake and the Kannenbäckerland.

History

In 1397 Ewighausen was first mentioned in records. The spelling of the name changed over the centuries from Ebichusin after Ebeckusen and Eternal Husen in Ewighausen.

Parish council

The local council in Ewighausen consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
