Ex Deo

Ex Deo (Latin, from God ') is a company incorporated in 2008 Canadian Death Metal band. Due to the lyrics, which refer to the legends of the Romans, they are also assigned to the Pagan Metal. Ex Deo is a side project of all the musicians of the band Kataklysm.

History

2008 started the musicians Kataklysm along with keyboardist Jonathan Leduc project Ex Deo. The aim was to bring the people closer to the Roman mythology with the help of Death Metal. As Kataklysm, they were signed by Nuclear Blast Ex Deo. The first musical output of the band 's debut album Romulus, which was produced by her guitarist Jean- Francois Dagenais. It was released on 19 June 2009.

On this debut album in addition to the six musicians and three other artists had guest appearances, namely Karl Sanders of Nile, Nergal of Behemoth and Obsidian C. of Keep of Kalessin. For song Romulus was a music video directed by Stanimir " Staca " Lukić in Belgrade, capital of Serbia, rotated.

A performance by the band Ex Deo and Kataklysm at a festival there was the first time in 2010 on the Way of Darkness in Lichtenfels.

Since April 2013 drummer Max Duhamel paused due to personal problems, in particular his alcohol dependence, both Kataklysm, as well as in penury. He is temporarily represented by Oli Beaudoin, drummer for the band Neuraxis, but Duhamel wants to join both bands again after solving his problems.

On February 18, 2014 Maurizio Iacono decided with Ex Deo insert an indefinite break, continue, and mentioned that there would probably be no further release of the band
