Exegesis ( altgr. ἐξήγησις exegesis, interpretation ',' Explanation ') is the design and interpretation of texts. The key messages, content and structural features of a text are clear for the reader and will be made available. In everyday parlance, the term is usually used with reference to sacred scriptures of the religions of the book. The term is, however, also found in connection with the interpretation of legal or other texts.
