The exequatur (Latin ex ( s ) equatur: he fully prefer ) means: " He may exercise ".

In international civil procedure law exequatur means the enforceability of a domestic or foreign arbitral award or a foreign judgment in an exequatur.

International law

In international law the word exequatur ( " The Consul may remain in office " ) refers to the one consul granted by the receiving State license to practice of consular functions within his consular district. The exequatur get the head independent of consular posts after submission of report issued by the sending Konsularpatents or other notification of their appointment as consul.

Execution of sentence

In the execution of a sentence, the term refers to the exequatur transfer of the enforcement of a judgment rendered against a foreign national criminal judgment by the authorities in his home country. The decision is made by a district court by decision ( § 55 IRG).

Publication rights, ecclesiastical acts

Exequatur in this context means the state approval for publication of ecclesiastical acts.
