Exile (Japanese band)

Exile (proper spelling: EXILE ) is a 14-member Japanese pop and dance group. Group member Hiro is the bandleader who, at the record company Music For Life, debuted as part of the group Zoo. However, the publications on Rhythm Zone have been, a sub- label of Avex published. Hiro and the president of Avex, Max Matsuura, were at the same school.

History

The current band leader, Hiro, was actually a group member of the band Zoo, which, however, dissolved in 1995. In 1999 he formed a new music group J Soul Brothers was called and later in 2001 changed the name to Exile. (However, Hiro started in 2007 a ​​new band project, which he called J Soul Brothers. )

Atsushi and Shun were the front men of the group and accompany them with their singing. Atsushi is a fan of the American R & B group Boyz II Men In November 2003, the band recorded a new recording of zoos hit single Choo Choo Train on and got a strong advertising for their third studio album Exile Entertainment. The album sold more than one million copies in Japan. Moreover, they were, in 2003, also part of the Kohaku Uta Gassen, and stood up at Choo Choo Train. Initially Exiles was clearly influenced music from the R & B genre, later, the band went on and on in the oriental pop genre. Their first number one on the Oricon singles chart they could achieve with the single Real World, they also released a collaboration, which was called Scream, with the Japanese rock band Glay. The single was able to sell more than 500,000 times and landed at # 1 on the Oricon charts.

Group Member Shun left the group in March 2006 as he wanted to concentrate on his solo career. Then a new singer was searched as a group member and so came in September 2006, Takahiro in the group. Although he wanted to be a hairdresser since high school, he decided to follow for the band.

In 2007 released her studio album Exile Exile Love and set another milestone, as the album sold nearly 1.5 million units was the best selling album in Japan, 2008. The compilation Exile Ballad Best sold in the first week almost a million times, and thus secured the first place on the Oricon album chart. The song Ti Amo, which was represented at Exile Ballad Best was honored by the Recording Industry Association of Japan ( RIAJ ) with a million, since the song was a million times downloaded legally. She also won the Grand Prix Award at the 50th Japan Record Awards, for the song Ti Amo.

On 17 February 2009, published her first digital single Exile, which was called The Next Door and was used as the theme song for the Japanese version of Street Fighter IV. In parallel, there was also an English version, The Next Door: Indestructible, which was used for the international version of the game. Later, it was also a collaboration with rapper Flo Rida to The Next Door: Indestructible published.

Exile and J Soul Brothers announced on 1 March 2009 that they unite to become a party of 14. The first studio album, as a 14- piece band, was released on 2 December 2009, was Aisubeki Mirai e (Japanese愛す べき 未来 へ) and was able to build on the previous success. In addition, they won for the song Someday a Grand Prix Award at the 51st Japan Record Awards.

2011 and 2012 were exiles for the EMAs in the Best Asian Act category, nominated.
