Expansionism

Expansionism is the conviction of being able to represent their own interests only useful by extending its own sphere of influence. The term is applied to both nations as well as economic powers ( corporations, banks, etc.). Expansionism into account the concerns of those who are ultimately affected by the expansion efforts, as far as it is not, or only secondarily harmful or beneficial for one's own interests.
