The Autoput Batočina - Kragujevac is under construction Serbian motorway from Kragujevac to Batočina to Autoput A1. He is also known as A24 Autoput.

Background

With the acquisition Zastavas by Fiat in the fall of 2008, the project "Fiat", which provides for the construction of Fiat Puntos in Kragujevac, branded Zastava, of national importance has become. With the construction of the highway infrastructure in the city of Kragujevac car and the region will be improved and so further major investments in Okrug Šumadija be enabled.

Route

The 24.1 km long line will run parallel to the existing highway to Batočina and build there on the Autoput A1. In peak days run up to 8,000 vehicles on this route.

Progress

The construction of the first part of the piece the end of 2008 was begun and already on May 6, 2009, the day the city of Kragujevac, this 5.5 km stretch was opened to traffic. This section was the first road running in Okrug Šumadija. Then another 4.1 km long four-lane section to Cvetojevac was completed. Thus, a total of 9.6 km of highway are done.

Since the end of 2011, the 3 km long section between junctions Badnjevac and Gradac is under construction. This section should be completed within 120 days. Construction delays led to an extension of the works until 2014. In May 2013, construction began on the remaining 3.5 km long section between Cvetojevac and the junction Badnjevac. In July 2012, construction began on the approximately 3.7 km long section of the junction to the city Batočina Gradac. The construction on the remaining 4.3 kilometers of the route to the motorway junction Batočina is planned. All sections to be completed by the end of 2015. In planning the extension of the road to a diversion of Kragujevac is northern or south of the city.

Expansion of state

The first 5.5 km of the road are built with three lanes in each carriageway, the rest of the route is to be expanded with two lanes per carriageway.
