The Polish Droga ekspresowa S12 ( ger. for, expressway S12 ' ) is connecting Greater Łódź Radom, Lublin and Kiev in the Ukraine. From the node Lublin - Rudnik to the border with Ukraine, the S12 is a part of the European Route 373

Planning history

In the Polish network plans between 1945 and 1946, only one track was included that branch in Radom from the planned connection Warszawa - Lublin Košice and should continue in the direction of Lviv. 1963 was missing from the plan a compound that could correspond to the current S12, completely. The leg Lodz Lublin in 1971 was then included in the plan. In contrast, continued to lack the sequel to the Polish-Soviet border. Five years later the route Lodz Lublin accounted for again. Also in the plans of 1985 and 1993 changed nothing thereto. 1996 first appeared on a link from Lublin to the Polish- Ukrainian border. Furthermore, however, lacked the route from Lodz to Lublin. In 2001, it was only in this planning. As of 2003, the S12 is finally included in the planned today in the course of network plans.
