The Droga ekspresowa S14 ( ger. for, expressway S14 ' ) is a finished part, mostly planned or under construction Polish expressway. It represents the western tangent of the ring road Łódź, which connects the A2 motorway with the S8 express road.
Planning history
Already in the network of Poland from 1939 a motorway ring was provided for Łódź. 1946, this planning was indeed canceled, but west of Łódź intends to guide the route Gdansk- Katowice. In the plans of 1963, 1971, 1976, 1985 and 1993, a west bypass of Łódź was totally absent. Only in 1996 appeared one of today's planning for the S14 to corresponding path on the network plan. From 2001, this compound was designated S14, which from now on always in the power plans had stock.
