The Droga ekspresowa S17 ( ger. for, expressway S17 ') is a planned expressway in Poland and Warsaw to connect with Lublin and Lviv. It is part of the European Route 372

Planning history

Already in the network of Poland from 1939 an expressway connection from Warsaw via Lublin, Lviv and Ivano- Frankivsk was further provided to Romania. The plans of 1945 and 1946 contained a branching from the line Warsaw - Radom route Košice in the amount that should be performed on Lublin to Lviv. 1963, the polyline Warsaw was only - Lublin included. The plan of 1971 this line was extended over Lublin afield to Zamość. Also in 1976 we changed thereto nichts.Erst 1985, a continuous connection from Warsaw to Lviv was again been envisaged. Since then, this line was unchanged included in the network plans of the years 1993, 1996, 2001, 2003 and 2004, although since 2001 the designation S17 was used in the plans for the proposed route.

Between the nodes Zielonka and Warszawa - Lubelska the route will be extended dreistreifig. Between the nodes Kurów - Zachód and Piaski - Zachód the S17 runs together with the S12. Between the nodes Lublin and Lublin Sławinek - Rudnik there is also the S19.
