Extended Window Manager Hints

Extended Window Manager Hints ( EWMH ) or NetWM or Net Cup, is an open standard window manager for the X Window System. This defines various interactions between window managers, utilities, and applications that are all part of a complete working environment.

The standard is based on the ICCCM (Inter - Client Communication Conventions Manual) and extends their functionality.
