Extensor pollicis brevis muscle
The extensor pollicis brevis (Latin for " short thumb extensor ") is a skeletal muscle and a deep extensors in the forearm. In the area of origin, it is fused with the abductor pollicis longus. The tendons of both muscles contract together through the first extensor compartment of retinaculum tendon sheaths. His tendon forms the spoke side boundary of the snuffbox.
The extensor pollicis brevis extends the thumbs up to the base member, and is also involved in the abduction.
