Extra calvinisticum

After the ubiquity of Martin Luther, Jesus Christ is not only omnipresent according to his divine nature, but also according to his human, as both are inseparable from each other and penetrate each other ( communicatio idiomatum ).

Luther developed this doctrine in the dispute with the Reformed theologian Ulrich Zwingli and John Calvin, who accepted in accordance with the doctrine of the so-called extra - Calvinisticum that Jesus' human nature is located since the ascension to the right hand of God in heaven, and therefore not the same physically in the Upper could be present.

In contemporary evangelical theology in particular Jörg Baur has tried to open up the new ubiquity as relevant for the faith.
