Geography

Geographical Location

Eydelstedt is between the nature park Dumber and the Natural Park Geest approximately midway between Bremen and Osnabrück. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Barnstorf, which has its administrative headquarters in the spots Barnstorf.

The five districts of the municipality are:

  • Donstorf ( with Heitmann Hausen, Egelriede, Clausen, Danhollen, Holte, New Holte, and Donstorf )
  • Dörpel ( with Scharrelmann and Dörpel )
  • Atomized ( with helmet mill Aufurth, Herkamp, New Aufurth and Atomized )
  • Eydelstedt ( with Gothel, Holzort, New Eydelstedt, Haslau, Klöterbusch, Heath, Traxelsiedlung and Eydelstedt )
  • Well trek ( with Brock Mannhausen, Stubben, Bülten Ohe, hard Willingen, Hollen, Claus Heath, Wuthenau, Loge, Schierholz, New Schierholz and squabble )

History

Incorporations

On March 1, 1974, the municipalities Donstorf, Dörpel, Atomized and well yield were incorporated.

Culture and sights

Nature Reserves

  • Large sea. It is located 5 km south of the center of Eydelstedt, since 1942 is a nature reserve and has an area of 24.6 ha

West of the town in about 3 km away passes the main road 51, Bassum - Osnabrück.

Clubs

At clubs there are in Eydelstedt the sports club SV Jura 67, which had existed since 1929 Volunteer Fire Department and the shooting club Eydelstedt eV 1911.
