Eye–hand coordination

Visuomotor is the coordination of visual perception and musculoskeletal system. It is part of sensorimotor functions and includes, among other things, the eye -hand coordination (also hand -eye coordination ).

Physiological conditions

Almost any movement of the human body is coordinated by visual perception. With the aid of the visual system, the brain generates a model of the environment that allows the targeted interaction with the physical reality.

Definition

Visuomotor services are an essential aspect of cognitive development of children. These are only possible with a corresponding hand-eye coordination.

Diseases

Visuomotor problems are found mostly after school entry and usually lead to learning disorders.
