Eyelash curler

An eyelash curler is used, the eyelashes - especially of the upper eyelid - to deform so that they are stronger than bulge inherently outward.

This is reminiscent of a pair of scissors device is widened curved at the tips and padded with velvet or plastic. These ends are applied to the eyelid and the eyelashes pressed into shape by closing of the shear for a few seconds up to a minute. The effect lasts for several hours, especially if the lashes are then inked. There are also electrically heated units modeled after the curling iron that act faster and lasting.

Eyelash curlers should only be used before applying makeup and can damage the eyelashes at in frequent use.
