Eytan Fox

Eytan Fox (Hebrew איתן פוקס; born August 21, 1964 in New York, United States) is an Israeli film director.

Biography

Eytan was born in New York, he grew up in Israel, however, where the parents returned, when he was still a child. Later he studied in Tel Aviv film and television studies.

His first work after, an award- winning short film, already raised the issue of homosexuality, which he took up again and again in other film projects. In today's life partner Gal Uchovsky, an Israeli writer and producer, he worked several together on films. 1994 was followed by his first feature film The Song of the Siren ( Shirat Ha'Sirena ). The film was commercially seen an overwhelming success and became the most successful film of the year 1994 in Israel.

The feature film The Bubble, which, like the films Yossi & Jagger and Walk on Water, the life of gay men in Israel today has as its object, was honored at the 57th Berlinale with the reader the price of the gay and lesbian magazine Victory Column.
