Ezel Akay
Ezel Akay (* 1961) is a Turkish actor, film director and film producer.
Life and work
Ezel Akay was born in 1961. After he had reached at the Faculty of Engineering at Bosphorus University 's graduation, he studied acting training at the U.S. Villanova University.
Before Ezel Akay was active in the Turkish film industry as co-founder of the Turkish film production company IFR, he worked as a copywriter, theater director and actor. Since founding his production company, IFR, he has directed more than 500 commercials.
In 1996, he co-produced with the Turkish film director Dervis Zaim its award-winning national and international Turkish cinema Tabutta Rövasata. With the in Turkey more award winning Firuze, where are you? Ezel Akay 2004 then led for the first time directing a feature film. His directorial work Firuze, where are you?, Execution of the shadows and 7 Husbands for Hurmuz came to German cinemas.
