F major

F major is a key of Tongeschlechts Major, which builds on the root f. The key of F major is written in musical notation with a ♭ (b). The corresponding scale and the basic chord in this key ( the tonic fac) are denoted by the term F major.

Traditionally applies F major as " Pastoral key ", since many woodwinds always had both a f as the root as were also associated with the shepherds.

F major is often described as slightly less bright and clear as C major, but cf the entry key character.
